Taking the NLE in March is a great way to get "official" proof of your Latin skills, a fun challenge, a way to compete with Latin students worldwide (from the comfort of your home!), and a chance for you to win medals, awards, and/or scholarships. An NLE award is a GREAT addition to your resume or college applications! Overall summary as of spring 2009: 76 exams have been taken (over a 5-year period). 68 awards have been received! 33 gold, 23 silver, 8 magna cum laude, 4 cum laude. Great work, everyone! 2009 NLE Awards!!! 26 of 29 students (~90%) received an award -- excellent work!!! GOLD Medal (Summa Cum Laude): JD (100), MW (100), AB (100), ET (100), LZ (100), DalC (100), GT (100), GabR (100), GC (100), RB (100), CE (200), MC (200), AlB (200), JW (200 + Perfect paper), ZB (100 + Perfect paper). SILVER Medal (Maxima Cum Laude): CB (200), AndB (200), EL (200), MS (100), JP (100), DT (100), AC (100), BZ (100), DilC (100). Magna Cum Laude: ME (200), JB (200). Summary: 29 took the exam, and 26 received awards! 15 gold, 9 silver, 2 magna cum laude. Excellent! 2008 NLE Awards!!!
